AirShopping 24.1
Functional Description
AirShopping is used to obtain availability and find Offers for specific origins, destinations and dates, for one or more passengers.
You can also specify the cabin class and the maximum number of stopovers. If you select a specific cabin, all options for that cabin will be returned. If that cabin is not available, no other options will be returned, and you will need to make a different request.
In version 24.1, the Destination (Departure) comes first, and the Origin (Arrival) comes second.
AirShopping will return the available Offers, including prices (in the local currency), terms and conditions, dates, and the requested origin and/or destination.
Flights may include those operated by the carrier (Iberia), codeshare flights, interline flights (a journey involving an agreement between airlines) and intermodal journeys (a journey involving one or more modes of transport). More information in the IATA Glossary:
Search options:
You can search for the following types of journeys: one-way, round-trip, multi-city, open-jaw, and point-to-point.
We recommend using the Airline Profile mechanism (list of origins and destinations) provided by Iberia.
Offers:
Each Offer will include two services: the transport service and a bundle service containing all the features included in the selected Offer.
You can choose from different types of requests (for example, ‘Best Pricing Option’) to get a mix of cabins/families and obtain the best Offer for each itinerary.
We offer Public and Private (Corporate and Leisure) Fares, with Multiple Price Points (MPP).
Terms and conditions of the Offers:
Offers have a specific Time Limit (OfferExpirationTimeLimitDateTime). When this time limit expires, a new journey search will need to be carried out, and the conditions may have changed.
Offers also have a Time Limit for payment (PaymentTimeLimitDateTime). If this period expires, a new journey search will need to be carried out, and the conditions may have change.
Finally, Offers have a Time Limit during which the journey Price is Guaranteed (PriceGuaranteeTimeLimitDateTime). If this period expires, the selected Offer may have a different price.
For Offers where the fare rule is instant purchase and there are more than four hours until departure, a two-hour payment window will be provided.
If the fare rule is instant purchase and there are fewer than four hours until departure, the payment window will not be displayed, meaning payment must be made immediately.
Discounts:
Frequent Flyer details from any airline can be included in this message; however, only Iberia Plus memberships will be validated if the Iberia Plus and/or OneWorld and/or LATAM membership number provided. If the validation is successful, the corresponding tier benefits will be applied. If the validation fails, the purchase process will continue and a warning will be included in the response.
Special Fares and discounts are available, such as On Business and Corporate programs.
If you are a resident of the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands, Ceuta or Melilla, you can apply for discounted Fares offered by the Spanish Government (for Spanish Point of Sale only). If you have a large family, you can also benefit from a discount when booking a journey.
